Thumbs up Venison is health food !

Nice buck and photo. In east TN we have a dozen + roaming arround the neighborhood. That is why I had to fence in my garden. Between 11 & 1 LAST NIGHT I counted 14 deer around the house. The apples and chestnuts that fall during the day are cleaned up each night. Yesterday afternoon I had 5 deer in the back yard at 6:20 under the apple tree. This mornning at 7, I went out to feed the horse and spooked a BIG doe in the back yard. I'm waiting for her this afternoon. Venison and buffalo is better for you than beef as is phesant compared to chicken.

Is the hunting over in your area all private land? or is there public areas for hunting? What is the lay of the land over there ? steep or flat or rolling hills? Thanks

typical piedmont rolling timber, yeah it's about all private land. I hunt at my families place in Yancy county up your way, that's tough hunting up there but the deer are big

Can't be any harder than it is here! these hills and ravines are serious steep fo this old man to be climbing up and down. I have deer right in my backyard ! but not much sport shootin em off the back deck! The area by you sounds like my old huntin grounds in upper WI cept no snow and not zero degrees in my tree stand!Well good luck on the rest of you season! God I miss the smell of venison in the morning!!
