Just found this section, I usually don't go past '61-'66 F-100s. I have a '66 F-100 and the hardest thing around here is finding a good junkyard with these trucks! Any of you guys know the wereabouts of any decent 65-66 trucks? Good donors? I know, wish in one hand........
Welcome to the Ga chapter 66. You can occasionally find a few slicks at pullapart but they get stripped down quickly. I think the best junkyards to look for the older stuff are the ones out in the boonies that few people know about. Unfortunately I need to search some good yards myself. I find something I will let you know. I may not find anything soon because junkyarding can't be worked into my schedule at the moment. You may already realize this but some parts up to 79 will bolt on your 66 and be a great upgrade if this is the way you want to go. The 61-66 forums have a wealth of info on what is interchangeable. Good luck
Welcome to the Ga. chapter of !!
Just wondoring where in Mid Ga. you are? Perry here.Glad we now have 3 members in mid Ga.
The local pick and pull here is BoBs pick & pull between Warner Robins and Macon.Don't think they have much in what you are looking for but you can try if you haven't already.

I am between Macon and Gordon off HWY 57. Grew up in Macon. I'm on my 2nd '65-'66 slick. I've been to Bobs repeatedly for a few parts but you are correct, not alot for me. I have gotten a few parts for my Mustang though.
70blue I have a few parts from newer models and I have located a '65 stepside in a local 'yard. The guy wants $500.00 for it and I'm trying to "wait him out a little". The body is fair but I'm only interested in the cab foward. Where is this pullapart you speak of?
One is in conley the other is in norcross. Would be quite a drive for you but enjoyable enough to make the trip if you enjoy junkyarding. At the moment they dont have what your looking for but their website lists what vehicles they have at each location. http://pullapart.com/
Their list is not 100% accurate though.
Gray I might have to check out bobs. Do they usually have many 73-79s and how about 67-72s. I also wonder if they have a website. Thanks in advance.
The last time I was there they had some.
HAHAHA they are so "redneck" that barely have a phone. If you find a number he will tell you to come and look and to bring a $1.00 to do the looking.

70blue I went to a local 'yard today and they had a few mid '70s Trucks. I got a wiper switch for mine, what do you need or want? I can swing by there any day as it is on my way home. Gray is correct, Bobs Pick and Pull is a hit or miss. They had a few mid '70s when I was out there earlier this summer but heavily hit. Let me know.
I dont really need anything in particuliar. I go to the yards where you can pull your own parts mainly as a hobby. The things I usually get their I don't always realize I want them till I see them.
