hi there. is there a canadian blue book? i can't seem to find anything. or do you think i could just use the US blue book with a montana,washington zip and adjust for USD/CAD. thanks very much.

 

ive been using the kelly blue book with a washington zip and converting as well, its pretty annoying

 

do you find it converts pretty well between countries. salmon arm is very nice.i used to live in kelowna

 

meh not really, but im usually converting stuff thats on dealers lots and they have incredibily dum prices on everything, $9000 for something with a blue book value of maybe $3000. i think it works relativvely well, the other problem with using washington is that i imagine four wheel drive is not as important there so there would be a gap, where as more of a summer vehicle might be worth more down there than here. just my .02

I hear that for new vehicles, the prices between here and the states is alot different. A guy at work said he got a new toyota from the states, cost him 33 grand canadian, and if he would have bought it in canada, it would have cost him 47 grand. Not sure if it works the same with used or not though.

 

im searching for a probaly98-2002 ranger 4x4 and the prices just seem to be all over the place.some of places have been smoking bc bud,i think cause they are out too lunch. thats why i was hoping to get an idea of price base.

 

You know what I always do is go to autotrader.ca and compare similiar vehicles. Auto trader is well respected, and you can tell if a truck moves or not from the prices in there, and if the truck is in there for along time.

 

autotrader, bargainfinder, kelley blue book are all good resources for checking prices, but nothing beats getting out there and looking at the real thing.
I was a GM guy, but bought a F-150 cause it was the best truck for the price. and from a dealer to boot.

At the AMA or BCMA (auto club) website they have access to the cdn. blackbook pricing that I use frequently. You may have to be a member though.

 

yeah i found that blackbook as well, the only way i could find to get into it was to pay for it, which kinda ticked me off
