HIGH Mileage 02 Scab advice

Hello I am currently looking at buying a 02 scab xlt F150 Fx4 4x4 with the 4.6L and automatic transmission this truck has 195000 miles on it. Its is a nice looking truck and this will not be my daily driver, just on the weekend and occasional use and the price is right at $8000. What can I expect to start failing on this truck. Would you recommend staying away from a truck with this many miles? Is there any signs that I should look for on the truck to stay away from it? Thanks for the info.

thats quite a few milels, but you sitill got some life left. find out if it has had ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, all up front, all those things go about 125,000 or so. Next check the drive shaft U joints, do they have grease zerks. the factory joint do not. should have been changed by 150,000 or so. the front CV joint axle shaft, hub bearings, and discs i would think have a lifte under 200,000. if everything has been done, you might be starting with a very good truck. if these have not been done, expect to do some work shortly. the alternator and water pump bearings would be suspect next. i would have a new alternator and water pump by 175,000.
