engine price
Just for kicks I went and "build and price" a 2007 f250 crew cab.
I have a 2005 XLT package that I bought for under 39000 K and this
was BEFORE the employee discounts of the summer of 2005. The only thing
that the Lariat package has over this is the auto climate controls. I never
could figure out why ford would not allow you to order this in the XLT
package. They also would not let me order the 18 inch rims and I had to
buy the rims and tires off ebay for 500 bucks. Sold the 17 inch ones for 300.
The big thing though is that I noticed that the price for the 6.0, not the 6.4 was 7,070 American dollars. This is about 2,000 more bucks than two years ago.
Do you all think that Ford is setting us up for the price of the 6.4 ?
I guess I will be driving my 2005 trucks until the price of diesel comes
down to the price of regular gas. I am thinking it could be a long, long time.
