Thumbs up Having my 50th Birthday, got a new truck for Birthday

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, my name is Danny, in Norfolk, VA, today is my birthday, September 28th , and I am 50 y.o. today (damn I look young for 50), and last night I took delivery of a 2005 F350, Crew Cab, 4x4 dually, Power-Stroke, Loaded Lariat Pickup , I am very happy. I have owned, Ford diesels off and on since 1981, I have owned a 1999 Dodge Cummins 4x4, and a year ago I bought a high mileage 2003 Silverado Duramax 4x4 3500 (that was a biggest mistake I have ever made, I was out of town, did not have internet access and it was 14 months of hell, it did have 152,000 miles on it, but it ran like a watch....for about 3-months of just commuting driving....then found out the aluminum transfer case was leaking, hole in the aluminum, started smoking at idle, injecter leak-by, and worse and worse.) I was getting near birthday and you know how black trucks can be addicting, I actually looked at a new duramax again, what a laugh that was, they offered me $9500 in trade at the biggest Chevrolet dealership in Norfolk surrounding area and the biggest diesel shop. Guess they knew the Duramax I had was really sick, think maybe they had inside knowledge about previous warranty stuff. Any really pissed me off, the next day I am driving by the Dodge dealship near my house and the used lot has the Ford F350 I bought yesterday, they did not have the insider information about the trade and I have come home to Ford and Power-Stroke. Should have know better than to buy the Chevy, have never been a Chevy person, just got my head turned by a pretty black truck, now I have a White on Tan Two-Tone and could not be happier. Any my wife loves it too.

I hope to have great fun on the sight, and just for the record, except for the transmission getting a bit of slipage, the Dodge 4x4 never gave me a bit of trouble.

Not trying to start any fights or flames, is all just personal history.

I have owned:

1976 Ford E100 van, 351W (traded)
1980 Ford F150 PU, 2x4 351W (traded)
1973 VW Beetle (scrapped)
1981 Ford F250 PU 2x4 6.9 Power-Stroke (traded)
1985 Ford F250 PU 2x4 6.9 Power-Stroke (traded)
1985.5 Ford Escort (ex-wife) (traded)
1999 Dodge 2500 4x4 cummins (sold)
2000 Ford Focus ZX3 (ex-wife)
1985 Ford F350 Dually Crew Cab, 2x4 6.9 Power-Stroke, (my brother is driving it today)
1976 Manta Coyote (Kit Car), 2.0 Porsche 914 turbo-charged drive train, project car from eBay, under construction as time permits (same car as in Hardcastle and McCormick TV show), or with me being a big guy, the car my wife calls my "Red Spandex Pants" because I actually wear the darn thing , and it has the potential to eat NOS Rice Rockets.
1996 Ford Windstar (repairing for step-daughter)
2003 Silverado 3500 Dually Crew Cab 4x4 duramax (traded)
2003 Chysler PT Cruiser (wife)
2005 Ford F350 Dually 4x4 6.0 PSD (mine)

There is the history, I am back to stay.

Danny
