Looks like a step.............figure after 3 or 4 broken legs with attached lawsuits from spastic customers, they'll last a year.

Interior is pretty tight..........very modern

Dang UAW peeps who put the headlight assembly in upside down need to be fired. Very busy front end IMO.....The new GMC with borrowed previous Super Duty looks is much cleaner, easier on the eyes than the new Ford.

It'll take some time to adjust to these looks for me.

Seats and center console look like a carry-over. Not much different from my '03.

Dodge and GM both offer front buckets with a huge center console that runs all the way to the dash. Lots of little bins to put stuff. Netting on the side to hold maps, etc. Very convenient.

The center floor space on the tranny hump is just about useless anyway. Why not put something there?

I do give them credit for trying, but I too am not sure that step is the answer.

I don't like the headlights at all.

Hmm, seems like the old one. Not much for improvements.

I like it, It kinda has a cross look of the previous superduty and the 650, and they expanded the line-up for a 450, sounds interesting a civilian 450, wonder what that will have imagine the price tag, lol.

When I said interior.......I should have been more specific and said dash. I always thougt the SD dash to be very utility looking (not a bad thang).

450's and 550's have always been the same as 250/350's cab wise and available for sale to anyone

If they don't put a pair of levers there, I won't buy it. Doesn't leave much room for anything else...

I don't like it much. I don't actively dislike it, the way I did when the original SD came out (That one's grown on me, though I still prefer the previous body style), I just think a lot of the smaller things are stupid- "Super Duty" molded into the grille AND tailgate is more than a bit over the top. Interior/dashboard is too "pretty," it reminds me of the 500 sedan. I'm not averse to a few luxury touches, but chrome rings around the gauges? Come on. I guess I can hope that was a Lariat they showed, and the XLT is still a bit plainer.

All in all, I like it less than the present truck, which I think looks like an unfinished version of the first SD. No big changes, but none for the better.

The dash draws heavily from the F-150.

I really like my '06 F-150. Very comfy. But with the 4.6L it just can't get out of its own way. Not a tow vehicle. A good Home Depot runner though.

Now if Ford ever got around to putting that baby diesel in an F-150, I'd have to look at that.

Looks like the old diesel wars are back in full force. Chev has the 360/650 and dodge and ford both lingering around the 350/650, I wonder which truck is going to win all the comparison tests? At least Dodge smartened up and went with a 6 speed tranny. I predict that the Dodge is going to be a tough one to beat once you hook it up to a trailer now!?!

Tougher emissions, and all three seem to increase horsepower?

I think the interior looks better than the current one. Nice job. I still don't care for the headlights, they are not growing on me. No way.

Yeah, I think they all intentionally let the gloom and doom predictions run wild so they could unload the 2006 and 2007. Longevity may still be an issue, who knows? Good to see an increase in power. Wonder what mpg will run.

For 2008, the model line has been expanded to include the F-450. "The F-450 pickup doesn't just raise the bar for heavy duty pickups, it tosses it out. Game over," said Mark Fields, President of the Americas. "Every aspect of the new line of Super Duty trucks, including capability enhancements, design changes and feature innovations is uniquely designed after spending a great deal of time talking with – and listening to – our customers." Gallery after the jump…

What the hell was the point for them saying that if it was allways available? Expanded to include the F-450?
