Any tips for vacuuming dog hair??

Vacuuming dog hair out of the carpet is time consuming. A hard plastic attachment works better than a brush but still not great. Does anyone have any secrets they are willing to share?

1) go and get a roll of Duct Tape

2) use a strip of duct tape at a time to get the hair off the fabric. That is the secret we used at our auto detail center. Also works great on headliners and rear dash.

I know you will thank me a bunch ;-)

I've had good luck using one of these on a high powered vac.

Spray anti static spray on the carpet or seats first. Give it a few to dry then vaccume away. The spray loosens the hair from the fabric.
I use a ling brush instead of a vac but it's more time consuming.

Same as my concept, but duct tape has a much stronger bond. Worked perfect for cat hair and especially in a VW. They had the hardest carpet to work with!!!

But she still sheds, but now it is just short hairs. I use the duct tape method, and a good hi powered shop vac. Takes time but I get most of it. Darn dog has it better than I do!

I have three Golden Retrivers and I keep my thuck clean! I have found a Detail Brush at wal-mart it works the best. I brush it down and the Hair is rolled up in a ball. Then I spray glass cleaner on a rag and whipe down the doors and dash. Hair gone it takes me 20 min. and it ready for the next time. It's a Golden thing!

There's a rubber brush you can probably find at your pet store. It has big rubber knobs, like a bristle but about the thickness of a pencil, they work great.

I have a pug and that hair is the worst to get rid of! I use a ball of duck tape. A vac will not touch it.

I use a stiff brush and a shop vac. I like the duct tape idea. I'm not too sure I really want the dogs (Black lab twins) in the new truck, but they most likely will be on the leather. The tan interior otta show the black hair up something fierce!
