Horn Relay Location
Group, I am having a problem with the wifes 02 Expedition. The owners manual isn't clear to me which relay is for the horn. I believe it has gone bad. the cruise stopped working but I don't think it is the clockspring becouse the lights light up on the wheel but not the dash; and when the key is off the horn will blow. ( i can hear the relay inside the RAP module clicking when the key is off but I turn the key on and nothing. no clicking and no horn.) I bought a manual from the parts store which the wiring scematic is useless. I want to sqay I saw in a different maual that the reay uses both sides the de-energized side send to the rap module. anyway.. Does any one know where the relay is or which number? The local ford dealer wouldn't tell, they just said bring it in we we'll fix it!
BTW I did a search but couln't find any info on the location, My 98 F150 is plain as day which relay it is.

Bronc, you don't need a full schematic, you need the factory service CD. www.fordcds.com
FWIW, I'd suspect your CSM is at fault.

Bought an 01 Expedition
Hey guys i recently bought an 01 expedition and my horn isnt orking and neither is my cruise control i keep seeing things online about a cruise control switch recall. The speed control switch was under recall and it was completed by the previous owner but im trying to figure out this recall for the cruise control is and also anyboyd has any idea why my horn may not be thanks

The switch is mounted to the front of the brake master cylinder. If the recall was performed, the wiring harness to the switch was replaced and there should be a label on the harness near the switch stating so.

Use a test light right at the connection to the horns. Pressing the horn pad on the steering wheel should give you +12v at the horn connection. If it does the horns are no good. If it does not then the next likely culprit is the clock spring being worn out at the steering wheel. Of course you should also check for a blown fuse or a bad horn relay before changing the clock spring.
Also check fuse #7 in the fuse box under the hood, that's for the horn.
