2000 EXPLORER AWD 5.0 94,000 miles VIBRATION
just bought this explorer, only had it for a week and now notice a vibration in the front more so when under pressure as in going up hill. Vibration will stop if you let up off the accelerator, I did replace the front u joints no change at all. Please any suggetions?

Make sure all tires have the same diameter. Driving with different size tires (due to size differences OR extreme wear variation) can cause damage to the transfer case long term.
However, I have seen a bunch of bad front driveshafts causing this problem too. Did you driveshaft have TWO u-joints? or did it have one u-joint and some kind of cv joint thingy?

I'd be willing to bet it's your front driveshaft. The rear "joint" of it gets in a bind under acceleration due to it's lubrication breaking down (kind of like a CV joint). I ran into one once.. i think a '99.. doing that and another shop had replaced all u-joints, both front axle-shafts and rebuild the rear differential.
I put a front driveshaft in it (not cheap either.. of course it was a FORD part... aftermarkets may be a lot less) and it was smooth as silk.
