replacing ignition lock cylinder

Can anyone tell me how to change the ignition lock cylinder on my 1994.5 f250 turbodiesel ?

it easy and here is how. first the lock cylinder needs to be turned to the run position. then on the underside of the steering column there will be a small hole (if it not there you need to remove the plastic underside of the column. then once you have found the small hole you need to push a small punch or other metal object in the hole and push the button up while pulling on the lock cylinder. then just push the new one in making sure it in the run position.

What is the removal procedure for an igntion switch on a 1999 Ford F150?

the 1999 has a PATS key, a chip in the key. any idea what it involves to get the new key programmed?

I have never done one on an older truck like. Sorry I am not sure but I would guess they are the same.

Edit: On a 73 it might even be on the dash rather than the steering column. Not sure.
