URGENT help needed

Hello, I was trying to take the brake controller out of the dash to run a fishing wire behind to pull the upfitter switches through and the face plate came off. How does is go back on, or did I just screw it up and have to by a new one? Thanks

Not sure what year or factory controller or not. But in the 11-16, it should just snap in and out. No screws and shouldn't have anything to have messed up.

So what exactly are you trying to put back. Take a picture if possible. I guess I assumed it was the whole thing. I didn't have to take mine out to run the upfitter wiring

I would have guessed it just snaps/pushes back in.

If not, I'm not sure what else to try. Is there nothing on the face plate that looks like it fits in the notches of the dash.

It looks like it has to little tabs that sit down on 2 post in the controller itself. I just cant get the rest of the controller to pull out of the dash? I can move it side to side, but cant get it out and dont want to brake the dash trying.

I would stop trying to take it out of the dash. It is possible to fish the wires without removing it. I did remove the little cubby that is to the right of your knee, but left the brake controller when I installed mine.
