2 Inch Lift With Shackles?
1965 F350 flatbed, leaf springs front and rear
Can I do a 1.5 to 2 inch (or so) lift by adding extended shackles, or a longer bracket or something, to the front of the rear springs and the rear of the front springs? I just want a little more height for tires.
I seem to remember doing something like this to the rear of my '57 Chevy in a long ago day, to fit wider tires.
Thanks

Hi Mike - Ok springs are on top of the axles, but folks on here keep saying don't add blocks to the front - dangerous. I guess I have to look into having the springs re-arched, but it sounds kind-of expensive. A body lift sounds like a very big deal, beyond my capabilities even, especially with the old flatbed on here and all. I've been looking around the forums for the 70s trucks and it looks like guys have added longer shackles to them to lift. Just was wondering if there wasn't an easy way to get just a little more height.

I was just thinking of something like these, but probably shorter.
