2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer switch for oil?

Hi-

I am sure this has been asked many times sorry I couldn't find anything relating to this topic.

I need help finding where the switch is to turn off my "change" the oil thing. My oil has already been changed by the place where I get my truck worked on. So I need to flick the switch off so it will not keep coming up on my panel. If I switch it off will I need to switch it back on so when the time does come for me to change the oil again. My panel will let me now.

Again.... I own a 2004 Ford Explorer EB.

Thanks...

BBB

if you have an owner manual its on page 75, along with all sort of good info.
press the "setup" control to access the "system check" function.
press & release the "reset" control until the control displays "oil life %".
press & hold the "reset" control for a couple of seconds to display "if new oil hold reset".
press and hold "reset" button. this should put you oil life back to 100%. page 76:
you could also change it to a more accurte % value if really need to, but then that would involve more button pushing.
hope this helps

I have the owners manual but I couldn't find anything relating to it. All I could find was something on page 10. Thanks.. I will try this.
