Hey guys i just put the Bilstein 5100 shocks on my truck wow!!!!!!! They ride so sweet and the front is 1 inch lower than the rear. I could clear just about up to 35"s, I measured the front and rear, got 38" in the front and 39" in the rear. Now this measurement came from the ground to the top of the wheel well. I put them on myself an it took about 4 hrs total time. The first one took alot of time as doing things for the first time aren't fun. The second went alot faster and the alinment isn't that far off but im going to try an get one done tomorrow. Saved about $125 labor doing it myself. Think about the Bilstein's guys their worth it.

With a setup like this how long did it take you put your AS kit on? It took me a little under 2 hours but spent an hour and half jacking the truck. Nice setup.

Hate to bring up an old thread, but did some of you guys end up puttin on the AS 1.5 instead of the 2inch?
If so what amount of lift did you end up getting with it.

I just put the 2.5" AS kit on mine. The front is now about 1/8" higher than the rear. Took about an hour to install in the driveway.

Autospring install...

I have photos (before-after) in my gallery of the 2" autospring install. I completed the install start to finish in 1 hour 20 minutes and the most accurate measurements I could make were from the ground to the fender lip. The front went up 2" at the fender and what really surprised me was the amount the front bumper went up from 30-1/4" to 33-1/4".

Prior to ordering the kit I parked my truck on level ground and measured everything as close to wheel centerline as possible with the 2" difference between the front and rear I knew the 2.5" kit would have been to high...it all worked out well

Now...I really enjoy the look and feel while driving... I was never crazy about the high rearend.

After putting on the autospring kit over a year ago I immediatly started feeling some vibrations when stepping on the brake. I ended up having some major brake problems. The guy at my local shop did not see any reason why the autospring kit would cause this but I swear that the second I installed it I started feeling the vibrations. Anybody else have the same problem? Maybe I seriously screwed something up while installing myself.... just curious if anybody else had the same problem.
