I was driving to the nearest gas station about an hour ago, and when I was pulling into the parking lot, the idle started going up(1700-2000rpm, it usually idles at 500 rpms) and I heard a BAD "squealing" sound under the hood, I'm not sure of the squealing part though, just a very bad sound under the hood.... So I shut it off, went in and got my drink, came back out and it ran just fine, no problems or anything. What is ya'lls take on this? I searched the forums but found nothing that satisifed my problem.... Could it possibly be a faulty IAC valve? I had trouble with it back in April when it would stay closed, I cleaned it out and haven't had a problem since though, could it be that it is reading faulty now and is making my idle go sky-high sometimes? but then again, why would it make a horrible sound like that? Ahhhhh, I'd appreciate any help on this. thanks

 

Sounds like a sticking IAC to me.
