It Is Time!!!
It is time for the first, official Nevada Chapter meet. It is September 30 in Fallon, for the Mud Bog race. Our very own member, Skipped_link, will be competing. This is a chance for the Northern folks to meet all of us to the south, and vice-versa, along with the Nor Cal Chapter Prez. making an apperance. I urge all of the Nevada Chapter members to show up for the fun.
I hope to see and meet you all. I will post up directions as soon as I get them. For those who want to spend the night there, there are hotels and camp sites. I will be continually posting new info, so keep checking back. Any questions, just ask. Until next time...

Jason, I'll be coming out in my travel trailer. There are a couple of options for RV camping in the Fallon area, Lahontan Lake and a couple of RV parks in the town of Fallon. For folks who may wish to hotel it, there are several choices, including casinos in the area. I will send you more info when I acquire it.
I googled Fallon Hotels, Fallon Casinos and Fallon RV Parks and got lot of info but haven't researched anything further yet. I'll make some contacts in attempt to find more.
Nevada Chapter member Alanco is from Austin Nv area, and may have some good intell as well.
Alanco, post up if you have anything to add.

Just thought I'd pipe in & let everyone know that I will be at the races, & since I do not have a toy hauler big enough for the truck I'll be rooming in a hotel/motel, more than likely the super 8 on the east side of town,
I will probably role into town in the after noon & head for the track asap, but if there is a meeting or gathering else were I may stop by there first,

I made a tentative reservation at the SageValley RV park which appears to be about four miles west of the center of town.

You guys camping should really consider staying out at the Stillwater National Wildlife Area, just east of Fallon (maybe 10 miles). The cost for camping is nada, zero, zilch.. FREE...and the place is beautiful. Just go through Fallon east on Hiway 50 until you hit Route 116 (Route 116 is about 5 miles east of the intersection of Hiway 95 and Hiway 50 in Fallon). Take Hiway 116 about 5 miles to the Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge. You can park in any of the designated camping areas and there are bathrooms at each camping area.

Map to Stillwater
Here is a map to Stillwater from the junction of Hiway 50 and Route 116, just east of Fallon, NV...BTW, I believe that Rattlesnake Speedway is located one mile EAST of Fallon. Take Rio Vista Drive NORTH off of Hiway 50 to the Speedway at Rattlesnake Hill.
