Well my old truck is down for the count. It started sucking anti freeze through the exhaust. It might get rebuilt,or I'll fill it up with gas and stick a rag into the tank set it on fire,or we could use it for target practice and shoot it like a old horse. We are now open to suggestions on how to dispose of the remains.
I went out to lunch with Ken the deaf guy that stopped by here last Sat. on the way home it backfired again so I took it over to Johnny's house since he is a ASE Cert. Mechanic he check it out and couldn't find a leak then he went to the exhaust nothing but white smoke and the smell of burned anti freeze. Oh well it will get rebuilt later on.
Darn Cliff, Im sorry to hear that. We had no indications of a head gasket problem while we were there. Well atleast you got a few good miles in at the end.
Thanks guys I will get her going again it will just take some time there won't be a funeral until I find out that it can't be rebuilt.I plan trying to find a few parts for my Ventura and get it on the road so I can rebuild the 460 bigger, better, and stronger.

Don't worry about it Rick like you told me the engine was tired and needed to be rebuilt at least I caught it in time before any real damage was done now I will have the excuse to tear it apart and redo it right.
Reb....sorry to hear the news on the truck, what kind of parts are you looking for.....for the Ventura ??? Will parts from a 70 - 72 fit ?
Hey 2HI2CU I don't know what will interchange between the 71-74 models I need the painted trim for the rear quarter windows I also need a couple of front fenders I have one that is dented but maybe repairable they also have rust through the lower fenders between the tires and the doors. and a door that will be a hard one cause the 73-74 don't have vent windows, and subframe bolt5s for the front subframe the body parts I can wait on except the trim to help keep water out.
A neighbor will help me make adaptoes to bolt the engine down, the engine is a 77 350P and the block bolts down different than a 74.Unfortunely I bought the car without knowing this. And a radiator so with a few parts and some luck I can get it going again after I do a brake job.
