LS Differential Additive

Hi,

I was told to add a fiction modifier to the differntial of my 02 F150 to take care of a shutter I am having at take off after long trips towing my boat. The additive says not to over treat. I assume that the oil in the differential already has some modifier in it...how much more can I safely add? The bottle I bought is 4 oz. I have already added 2 oz's and I think it has helped. Can I add more? How much is too much.

Thanks for the help.

Add enough til the shutter is gone. Add a little bit then drive around in a parking lot taking some tight turns. Over doing it will cause the Clutches not to "catch" at all.

I take it the T/C shudder was resolved by '02? I don't remember when this was a problem, but sounds like the same symptoms.
