Head lights assem swap

Anyone with any advise on how to pull the head lights out of a 97 f-150. I need to replace the whole assem, they are leaking and clouded.

Thanks

If your truck was made 6/96 or earlier pull the metal tabs behind the header panel completly out, then pull the headlights. If your truck was made after, pull the tabs halfway then pull the headlights.

What Smaug said. Sometimes those tabs are a real son of a .. to pull. Just pull them straight up towards the hood. If you look on the tab you'll see larger holes where the rubber stoppers on the back of the headlight have to go through to get the headlight out, just pull the tab until they line up.

It's one of the easy headlight swaps you'll do IMO. I usually pull the whole housing to change just bulb because it's just easier all around.
