SC Chapter First meeting planned. Can you make it?
Hey everyone in the SC chapter and potential members of said chapter. We have a tentative meeting place for our first get together. D's resturaunt in Columbia, their St.andrews location has a meeting room. There is no charge for using the room, the only thing they ask is eat their food and drink their booze. I asked them to pencil in september 23rd at 2pm for 5-10 people under the guise of the Ford Truck Enthusiast club. We can cancel up to the day before if we have to.
Phone number, directions, menu etc is here: http://www.dsrestaurant.com/
Rich has said he can be there, I will be there, and Steve has confirmed as well. Drop a reply here and let us know if you can make it
I may hijack the thread a bit here Dave... err kind of ..
I'm hoping on keeping the scope of this first g2g (other than the real meet and greets) to plan on chapter "positions", and brainstorm On future g2gs and major functions... So it probably will be rather quick (maybe). I'm sure other things will be brought up as well.
In order for this Chapter to really take off, its going to require everyones' suggestions and ideas.
*I'm only here to find new members and promote and encourage various activities and g2gs (and be a liasion between chapter members and FTE mgmnt).*
not a problem at all. As long as we can get us a chapter, do what needs to be done.I'm looking forward to taking the big truck on a road trip and see what kind of mileage I get now that the weight reduction phase of my rebuild is complete. Anything would be better than when I first got the truck. It was getting just under 8 mpg on the highway (this was back in feb).
any meeting coming up before the end of the year ??
I'm keeping my eyes on the weather and everyone elses plans and ideas... I'm hoping to have a trip to a nice sized U-Pick-w/a brunch somewhere soon.
If you guys have enough "active" in a particular part of the state you guys are more than welcome to have a "micro" meet ... Just let the rest of us know...and who knows it may be good timing for the rest of us to go visit.
I agree w/Rich 100%. Logistically it can be a challenge having members spread out over the entire state. Trying to get a single event to meet everyones schedule can make your head spin, though its fun. If anybody does have a micro-meet, take a few pics, do a small write up and send it to me. I'll put it on our future website for the rest of the chapter to enjoy. Sound like a plan?
