Getting wax off those dang fender flares.

Okay, I waxed the truck yesterday and now I have some sloppy spots to get off the fender flares. They're the soft, textured ones from the factory and the wax dried in the grain. Anybody run across an easy way to do this? I understand I can burn my fingertips off scrubbing all afternoon and that's what I want to avoid. I also know I should have taken more time to do it in the first place, but hey, it got done!

There's also something on the driver's side rear flare that left discolored spots and I can't get them off. It looks better with some armor all, but comes back when that stuff wears off. I plan on buying some paintable flares and matching them to the truck, but in the meantime, is there anything that might clean that up better?

I usually use the armorall, but sometimes I will use a soft brush like an old tooth brush or knuckle brush. That will usually take the wax out.
