Does anybody know if there is a way to put power brakes on a 61-67 econoline truck-van?Is there a kit or a power setup from a donor vehicle?Any help would be appreciated.Eric.
I read an article here where a fella manufactured a power brake set up for his 51 truck. It gave me an idea how I could maybe work and design like his into my Econotruck that I plan to customise. That way I can put disc brakes on it with a power brake booster.
The guys user nameis 51dueller that did the article. Check the opening page and search for articles. You may find it there.
I could not see the article. But it is in my favorites. It is 18 pages or so long with pictures. It seems to be posted with a site called old-ford.com has email to a clint@old-ford.com Opps may not get that e-mailaddress here.
Use a remote Power Master Cylinder, Actuated by the original Master Cylinder. Contact any of the Street Rod Brake Companies, ie ECI, Master Power Brakes inc, etc.....Look in any Street Rod Magazine.
go this yahoo site: oldeconolines.com. post your ???? and there is a gentleman named dennis in oregon that makes a kit for disc brake conversion. good luck
