Ball Joint Break in Period?

Ball Joint Break in period - Rediculous
Hey guy, sorry to hear you've been runn around.
Just last week I took my wife's truck in for an alignment after installing a leveling kit, along with add-a-leafs, mounting 315 75 16's on Eagle Alloys. This was not a ford shop, but a local mom and pop place with good equipment. The rack guy tells me the ball joints needed replaced, as I expected (one tire leaning a bit). So I took it back a few days later when parts came in.
All the ***** joints were replaced with the HD greasable type. The alignment was performed and it drove like a dream right out of the box. Frankly, it felt better than stock, more responsive, and much tighter.
The reason for the Add a leafs was because the leveling kit raise the front 3 3/4" instead of the 2 1/2" stated. this made the rear lower which didn't look very good. To make a long story short for less than $600, the truck was lifted enough for the 315's and included new Nitro shocks at the corners.
The cost of ball joint replacement and the alignment was $582, labor being $150 of that. pricey, but I was out and satisfied in 3 hours.
