More heating problems HELP PLEASE!

I am currently having heating problems in my 1995 F-150 with it warming up. I had the original thermostat in my 95 f-150 with the 300 straight 6. It was beginning to stick open and i was scared it was gonna stick close and blow my engine up. So i went and i bought the stock thermostat which is a 195 and replaced it but when i replaced it but when i put the thermostat housing back on i broke the piece that bolts in so i got a replacement housing from my buddy off his 89 now it reads that my engine doesnt warm up it is about a quarter inch below the N on the word normal and sits there. but im getting heat in my truck works just fine. Am i the sensor from a 89 to a 95 differnt or what am i missing. Please help!
