i have a 1986 f150, it was made in canada. is there any differences to a truck made in america? just wondering.

You will notice application charts designating Canada/49 State applications



Ontario Truck Plant (Oakville) in Canada is only the assembly plant.

 

Even the California Trucks have a lot of Canadian Parts.

Dash and Radio Bezels, Door Panels, Wheel Covers, among other stuff. All Made in Canada, and stamped as such.

Even some of the chassis.

That's why you need a SAE, and a metric tool set to work on these trucks.

 

Goes to show you Fords aren't made in America. I have parts that say Mexico & Canada on my 86 F250 4x4. Need a set of std and metric wrenches to work on it.
