I have a 63 F100 Styleside shortbed (not unibody). I am looking for a tailgate. Does anyone know what years will fit? I am thinking 61-63. Stepsides are a dime a dozen because they fit many different years. All of the trucks I've found around here are 65 and up. It seems that the 63's are kinda hard to find. Mine had a 292/ 3 on the tree. It now has a 84 351 4V HO in it with an Edelbrock Performer and a 600 Holley carb. I converted it over to an alternator and Duraspark ignition.
Thanks,
Jimmy

If you have the 57-60 styleside, tailgates from 57-63 will work. Also factor in the 61-66 4x4's that used the older bed.

Aren't you thinking of stepside? I know that they fit many, many years.

I think some of the folks who replied missed the fact that you said style side, not step side. I'm guessing it would use the same tailgate as my 61 Unibody. If that's the case Dennis Carpenter Ford in N.C. has just started carrying a repro-tailgate for our trucks. Mine's toast and I'll have to buy one when the time comes. They run $400 and Dennis Carpenter is on the web - I think it's
www.dennis-carpenter.com Don't leave out the dash or it won't work. Good luck.

I don't think that the unibody will fit because LMC truck has them for a unibody and a step side, but no Styleside.
Thanks for the help,
Jimmy

You might also try DAN Carpenter (different from Dennis).
I bought my tailgate from him.
