Removal of Body Graphics ???

Ok.. what im about to say will show just how much of a dumb @ss i am. Sorta !?!?!?!?!?!

I jut got my Body Graphics in for the truck (pics in gallery).. looking at them they had "hand written" blue ink arrows on them, with no explanation??? so after trying to look at the sticker, which was covered on both sides. one side was a waxish type paper. you could see the color on the graphics a little... need less to say... i installed the graphics up-side-down .... i say upside down cuz its a american flag being ripped out of metal. pic will explain. needless to say... i will probibly have to remove them or take s##t for having them that way untill there off.. does anyone know the best way to get them off with out damaging the truck and paint.... thanks for any and all help... ...

I don't think that there is going to be any way to save it if you try and remove it

A heat gun will do the trick. Safe and easy. Usually a razor and gas will do it also, but the heat gun is a sure thing. But the decals are history whichever way you get them off...

Since they have just been put on,they have not had time to really stick yet.You should be able to just pull them back off.Let it sit in the sun for a little while, and warm the decals up,and pull away.Rubbing alcohol will take the glue off, thats left behind.

the heat gun will work. Plus I can see everyone giving you hell about it since it looks as if you have a military sticker on your vehicle.

Heat gun or hair dryer. I use my wife's hair dryer to get pin stripe and dealer logos off of my truck. After the logos and stripe came off I went over it with rubbing alcohol to get any left over residue off. I was worried that a heat gun would be too hot and melt the decal onto the paint. Hair dryer worked just fine. Wife wasn' t too happy but she hardly uses the hair dryer anyways.

Yeah, its backwards, but you could just leave it. Afterall, you are military, and the way it is sitting on the truck is the way that the flag is worn on your uniform.

Wink

yes we wear the flag on our uniforms but they do not have the union pointing down, like in his stickers on his truck. That is one reason he would catch hell from his bros at work.

I dont think any of my friends at work would even question it. Change the perspective that you are looking at it from, and it wont be pointing down

I am sure most would not notice or even care but with the union upsaide down it means disgrace and disrespect, not something you would want to do to our flag.
