Carb identification

The 64 250 I purchased has a 2 barrel on the 292 inside. I dont know if its the original. My different ford catalogs show a holley 2300 or a ford 2100 carb. The rebiuld kit I bought looks more for the holley. Mine has the accelerator pump on the side in the front rather than on the bottom of the float bowl. The fuel line enters the front rather than from the side on the front. I have know name or numbers on the carb itself other than a sundial looking emblem on the right side if you were looking at it from the front. Is this the ford carb. :-X11

Yes sounds like a ford / auto lite carb. Look on the air horn just like holleys for numbers. right side just below the choke plate.

idle mix 1-1.5 turns out.
float 29/64 down from top of casting (no gasket!)
float wet 29/32
acel pump lever "inboard" hole
throlle acel hole #3
Above is for FORD carb after 66 it called autolite and setting very a little but kit should tell you.
Look for C6TF-* *=a,b,c,d,e,f, ect

Best of luck

That 'sundial' thing should have a number in the middle of it indicating the venturi diameter- ie 1.08 or 1.12("). There should also be a part number stamped on the left front side of the base under where the dashpot is usually mounted. It should start with a C4T or something close to that.

Thinks for the input Ifound a chiltons for 60's trucks and the ford model is exactly what it is. With the illustrations on the settings for it its going to go better then i thought rebuilding it.
