Powerstroke Services in Alaska
Hi Mike:
I highly recommend staying away from MGM. They use to be all that and a bag of chips, but this past year, I've had terrible experience with their customer service and capabilities, as have 3 other friends of mine.
I'm trying to find a replacement airfilter for my aftermarket air intake. Friends told me to try Powerstroke of Alaska off of Artic Spur road. Lots of good reviews on that shop, so I'll be stopping in today to see what I can find.
One of my friends had just found out that his cylinders are scored from dust intake. Some folk say he needs a whole new engine...I wonder if this is true.
He has an 06 Powerstroke. Any thoughts?

I have been warned by various threads here not to go with certain aftermarket air filters. As for the brands I would have to do a search again to get that list. I still have not done the exhaust. Not sure if I will or trade the truck in for an F550. Might start looking this summer and see.

i would stick to the paper elements, them kn filter and other filters never get serviced like they should and its at the cost of your engine.. paper is cheap and easy, and will not go down in its filtering capability, but instead will become more restrictive.. safe bet staying with stock filters..
