For all you guys making and using it yourself, have you figured out about what it costs per gallon? Just interested.

How are you guys making you BD? Did you buy a kit or something? I have looked high and low for a simple system with no success. One more thing, how do you know if you are making the BD right?

You should go here first: http://www.biodieselcommunity.org This site is the first place to go to learn about Biodiesel. Once you are up to speed then search the threads on this forum, and ask all the questionsyou want, and we'll try and answer them for you. Soon we'll have YOU making it too

Recieved a call from Idaho farmer making his own Fab....need to know what your gelling point is and I convinced him to change to Pottasium. Remodeled mine and still working on vacuum can as well as new heating container....Need some more info on the vacuum process because of the vapor temps and vacuum characteristics when you get time to call. Troy...o and loud sound was loss of flywheel not injectors on wvo...wont do it again anyway. Too dirty

I use B99 sold retail from Western States Petroleum here in Phoenix. They just lowered their price to $2.844/G (after the price incentive). They get it by railcar from Iowa and I think the attendant said they go through about 6,000 gallons a week.

I am making and running my own B100. I run it in two powerstokes, diesel lawn mower, and 30kw generator, to run my house during power failures and peak usage in summer. (Keeps bills waaaayyyyy down) Cost was .48 a gallon but Western states petroleum upped their methanol to 4.06 a gallon. OUCH

Using it. In the process of getting in with a couple of guys that have been making it for a year now. Love the stuff. It just makes that beast purr.

Did you just mix it with diesel?

I am running a 2 tank heated system. I can not find the down side yet. About 5k miles of driving on WVO 80% pulling my 12k fifth wheel.
