Hi Guys, this is what I have done so far....replaced the keyless door pad, that was,nt the problem, the 1-2 pad did not light up,pulled the door panel and found the problem, the connector was corroded and bypassed it and soldered the wires directly, after that repair was experiencing the alarm going off intermittently when I set the locks,i pulled all the door latches out and removed the door ajar switches and lubed them with kroil oil,so far so good this morning....oh I found the factory code for the keyless remote behind the right rear quarter panel...if anything changes I will let you all know.

Congrats on finding the issues and fixing them.

Did you happen to pull the keypad out to see what was letting water get in to corrode the wires/connector? I've not heard of that before, hopefully this won't start to become a common issue....

You're welcome, and thank you for following up with what you found. That's a lot of what makes the forums work.

That's good to see that the connector was not integrated in to the keypad, but it's interesting that it has so much corrosion. If you sealed your splices well, you should have a very reliable keypad for years to come. Good work!

Talking Program Your Fob

If you would like to program any Ford FOB between 2002 & 2010 I hope to get it posted in a few days. Mainly Explorer will work with most other ford modules.

The post is very relevant to the OP's question! It is Fords routine procedure for programming keyless entry and fobs since 2002. If it does not work you have serious problem.

I thought the purpose of these Forums was to exchange information and learn from one another while getting something fixed, not back biteing running each other down and being a critic before we have checked something out fully. If there is one of us 100% correct 100% of the time I would like to meet you.

Weross, I reported the post as possible spam because the thread is related to the number keypad, not the key fobs. I'm a moderator on a few other forums and have seen on several occasions where spammers make slightly off-topic posts, then come back later an add a bunch of spam related garbage.

My apologies since that was not your intent. The moderator was just acting on my report.

I think(pretty sure) I found the problem with the alarm going off randomly,i took the right front door latch apart again and took out the door ajar switch, put my cordless drill on the little protruding tip of the switch,at the same time squirting contact cleaner on it,did that for a few seconds and finished with a drop of oil...put it all back together and the alarm has not gone off in a few days now....Oh I found it was the right front door when the door ajar light would not go off on occasion!
