Took my truck (03 F150 with 67K) to the dealer. Was hoping for some sort of warranty action cause the paint along the entire front edge of the hood is bubbling and peeling off. Looks like corroded aluminum (i.e. not rust) in the spots where the paint is gone.

Dealer said no warranty coverage as the metal is not perforated. Quoted me 600 or so to repaint the hood. I think the primer or something else in the paint process is defective and feel that ford should cover it regardless of the terms of the warranty. I heard something about Ford using a bad batch of primer or somthing?

Has anyone had luck getting a dealer to cover a similar situation?
