I used a gpr 109, but it only lasted about 6 months, basically melted down, so i tried the Stancor relay for about $45, no problems since, it's avery heavy duty unit.
Now after all that, i still had a moderatly hard start even in 70+ weather. Not always, but once in a while. I'd usually wait until the WTS light went out on the dash, and all was well. I finally had the "no start when hot" this summer, and replaced the IPR o-rings, the were cracked and broken when i took them out.
Now i can jump in, turn the key straight to start, and without waiting for glow plugs at all, she starts instantly, not like after 3-4 seconds of cranking. I tried it the last time we had a cold spell, one morning was about 38 degrees, and no problems. I'm curious to see how cold it will take to need the glowplugs.
Anyway, just one more thought. The ipr o-rings may not have gotten to the point the point where they'll leave you stranded on a hot start. But, they may be just bad enough to take some time to build up proper pressure in the ipr.
