Mid Fifties bear claw latches

I see in one of the new truck magazines that Mid Fifties has a new [to me]bear claw latch conversion requiring minimum modification. Anyone seen this, or have any more info?

I haven't seen the kit, but I installed them in my 51F1 3 years ago without any problems. The installiation was pretty straight forward and it took me one day to complete. Look in my gallery there are some pictures there. If you need any further information feel free to drop me an e-mail message.

Thanks Rod, I beleive their new deal is for finished trucks, at least that is the idea I got. That is what would appeal to me. Joe

You do need to cut a small amount of the door frame, but otherwise they are supposed to bolt into the stock holes and even use the stock inside and outside handles and locks.

Thats the impression I have. Like to see the installation. Guess we will see an installation article someday.

Not likely unless MF starts buying a lot more ads in the magazines. Number of articles is directly proportional to ad $ spent.
