Removing weatherstripping adhesive

The previous owner tried to put weatherstripping on the cab when it's suposed to be on the doors. I've removed the weatherstripping but can't get the yellow adhesive to come off. Any tips for removing it without damaging the paint?

Not sure what chemical you could use, without dulling the paint, but maybe you could try those plastic razor blades. They look just like the metal razor blades, but they are made of plastic so they wont damage the paint or surfaces. Matt

3M makes a great Adhesive Remover, their number 8980 or 8984. It is a solvent but is very gentle to paint. It will take a little effort to soften and remove old weatherstripping adhesive so work in one area then skip to another allowing the first area to dry out a bit.
