Vacuum pump?/ injector proggramer

95 psd, burnt smell from engine comp. then brake pedal went real hard, almost no brakes. Checked under the hood and hear a rattle from what i think is the vacuum pump.

Can someone reccomend a injector programmer(more torque, hp and mph) I heard some bad things about the one being sold on ebay. Thanks

The burnt smell might be your belt from a bad bearing in the vacuum pump.

Can't help ya on the programmer. I read here the chips were better than the programmers. aparently the programmers don't have full access to what the chip does or the programmers are not developed enough to get full programming ability like the chips. Might be something to keep money in the pockets of the chip sellers.

yep sounds like your vacum pump seized for a moment then let loose. are the brakes still not power assitted? if so if you can check for vacum at the pump but i am sure its toast.

also i can't speak from experience but i hear that chips from dp tuner are tops. other will help you with that

As far as a chip/tuner I've never had a chip but I just bought a SCMT. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. I'm very happy with it but I am running a stock drivetrain.
