A few years back I scanned all the ebay exhaust auctions for a few months. I ran across an aircraft museum near borla auctioning off donated borla systems. I e mailed them and struck a major deal on the ss borla headers and y , and also the cat back with dual tips by the bumper. A major pain to install the headers, but it all fit perfect and is extremely quiet. Dont know how much difference it makes , but I like it, fit, sound, everything. To me, better quality than the factory, with nice bends for flow. Never hurt torque, or mileage.

I had them on for ONE DAY and had to take them off. Actually, I like the OEM stainless steel mufflers more now than ever. They have a quiet purr until you hit the gas and then they let out a nice roar without the heavy loud droning. So, if and when you get that Mustang GT, think twice before you touch that exhaust.

As for my F250, I just changed over to Magnaflows and a true dual system from the manifolds back, and the noise level increased too, but not nearly as bad as you say your gibson's sounded. They just installed some high flow resonators which brought the noise level down even more. Sorry you didn't like your system, but I can sympathize. Good luck though and remember what I said about the Stang.
did you get the regular borlas on your mustang or the stingers? I have the stingers on my mach, and it is stupid loud to say the least. When you start setting off car alarms in parking lots on mistake, it's bad... But the car rarely sees daily driving duties nowadays, and so when i drive it, it's nice to know i'm not driving a buick...
