Fixing dent on corner

Fixing dent on corner

Ive got a decent dent on the driver side rear where the po backed into somthing. how should i go about fixing this, just fill it in, or should i pull the pannels back inside and attempt to pop it out?

Try and staighten the area as much as you can. Remove the molding to expose any other damage. If you can buy some new moulding this could be used as a template to shape the area back to the original contour. The less plastic filler the better. Try to get the metal as close to perfect as you can and a thin layer of plastic will smooth it out for you.If you remove the tailight I think you may be able to get at it.

if you look close at where the paint is broke off, you can see a layer of somthing under the paint, is that stuff gunno be every where, or just in certain spots, is it some kind of factory filler or what? Its prettythick, and im hoping its not every where.

Yea you are right. It looks like the spot may have been repaired before. Best thing is to grind the area down to remove any loose stuff.As always these jobs seem to grow.
