Hey William - Do you have A/C in your truck? (what are the specs on it by the way) I live in Atlanta as well and would like a visual before I try to install a system in my 1966 f100. Email me at fsmartin@peoplepc.com if you want to take this offline.

Thanks,
Farrell

Farrel: I've got a pic of the A/C cab unit in my truck in my gallery. If you want more info on installing the complete A/C ssytem, I'll be glad to help as well.

Thanks Banjo - I would like to see some pictures of how everything is mounted on the engine and how the fan belts are routed. Also, I bought a dual groove water pump pulley for this application and was wondering what would be the result if this pulley has a different diameter than what is currently on the truck.

Thanks

Martin: Here's the best way to do it:
1. Engine stuff: Find an FE engine - 352,360,390 - (I'm assuming you have one) from any car or truck, and you can use all the engine components interchangeably. It works best if you get everything from one engine because Ford did it deiffernt ways, even on the same engines. P/S vs non-P/S is one example.
2. Condenser: Get the condenser from a 67 to 79 truck. It mounts in front of the radiator on the radiator support member.
3. Hoses: Get them made new to your fittings, and you're good to go!

Farrell, I do have AC in my truck. I plan on replacing it because I don't like the way it was installed and the in cab unit is to big. I would recommend an aftermarket in cab unit fron Vintage Air or one of those. Banjopicker is correct the engine brackets are the bigest problem. You are more than welcome to take a look at my setup and we can discuss better ways to do this install. Send me an e-mail.
