Hello, i have a 1995 F150, 4.6l V6.. ok i changed my oil like always, i use 40 weight this time and no i have a clanking noise coming from my engine at idle, should i add more oil? i have no idea what to do.. thank you for any help you can give.. its coming from around the block or underneath the truck its self, around the pan.

Got to have some clarification here.....

Ford didn't build a 4.6 V6.

They used the 300 cubic inch inline 6 (also called a 4.9 by some folks) in 1995.
Ford has used the 4.2 V6 since 1996, after discontinuing the 300.
Ford does have a 4.6 used since 1996, but it is a V8.

So you need to get a little more info on exactly whats under your hood.
