Clint Eastwood or John Wayne
Who's movies do you like better, Clint or John? I like Clint Eastwood better myself, I own every movie western Clint has ever been in, I never have cared much for John Wayne though.
Tim
I'm sitting here watching "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" right now.

I met Clint during filming of Unforgiven.
He is one class act in real life as well.
I had to thank him for entertaining me all those years.
I told him I had been following his career for a long time and asked about how he felt when he sang a solo in the musical "Paint Your Wagon"
He got this huge grin on his face and said: "You go back that far ?...well that was definitely not one of my finer moments.
I have watched and own several John Wayne Movies but not near as many as Clint's.
Clint ..."By Far" is the better actor.

I vote for the Duke...hands down. But, really have a HUGE respect for Clint.
As luck would have it, I just posted this:

With that said..."The Searchers" and "The Outlaw Josey Weles" were arguably the best westerns ever made. Especially when you consider which era each of them were made.

So, did some reading on both actors. Did anyone know that John Wayne was offered the lead role in Dirty Harry?
Assuming head he taken the role and lived long enough to make Sudden Impact, that famous line could have been:
(best John Wayne Impression) "So you gotta ask yourself one question, do I feel lucky? Well do you, pilgrim?"

I love Clint so much I even watched "Bridges of Madison County" all the way through. I kept waiting and hoping for something to blow up, oh well.
Some of the best for me are "Hang em High", "Unforegiven", "Outlaw Josey Wales", and the first "Dirty Harry".
Can't foreget "Heartbreak Ridge".

Have you all forgot "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" ?
Its where that classic "Stinking Badges" line comes from, quoted later in this post.
I saw where a lot of the humour for the "Man with no name trilogy" was inspired.

2hrs and 6 minutes, released Jan 1948, Humphrey Bogart, Tim Holt, Bruce Benett, Barton Maclane, Alfonso Bedoya
TV Guide "Arguably John Huston's greatest film..."
http://www.filmsandtv.com/searchmovie.php?id=13756
Fred C. Dobbs (Humphrey Bogart) and his friend Curten (Tim Holt) join forces with a prospector (Walter Huston) to search for gold. They find a rich gold field, and their problems increase as greed comes between them. Great line by Gold Hat (Alfonso Bedoya):
"Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges."
John Huston won the Best Director Academy Award for this film, and Walter Huston (John Huston's father) won for Best Supporting Actor. An Oscar was also won for Best Writing, and the film was nominated for Best Picture.
I think a:
"Curtiiiiiiiin!"
is an appropriate response to tjay460
