OK,

1st --To start have a suction screen on end of hose, Got that!!
2nd -- Do I need a Filter of any micron before the pump (Fill Rite 15GPM 12V)?
3rd -- What filters do I need After the Pump?

I have the 25, 10, 5 micron bags, and have built a sealed filter for them. I would like to use spin on filters on the collection. And bags just before the reactor.

Currently I have a New Goldenrod Water Block Fuel Filter — 1in. Fittings

I'm going to collect 150 -200 gallons at a time, with a 275 tote. Then pump filtered wvo into 55 gallon drums with heaters, ready to go into my appleseed style plant.

Should the drums be stand pipe style or is the oil ready to pump out?

1: suction screen is good, make sure you collect around after 12pm, I tried collecting oil a 10am but was still semi solid took a long time. I let the oil get warmed up and it sucks right up

2: My transfer pump came with a 50mic screen that worked fine

3: A golden water block is a good insurance, I don't use one but I heat mine after wash and let it sit for a week

I'm not to sure about collecting that much oil at a time. You can only process what your appleseed is rated for and that takes 12hrs in there, unless you rush it. I pick up 30 gals a weekend. that leaves me with a little surplus so I don't have to do it every weekend. I use about 13gals a week. I have a standpipe, but thinking about going with a conebottom I think it'll be easier but more expensive. Collect, Titrate, Process, Wash, Dry.

Collect, Titrate, Process, Wash, Dry.

 

The appleseed with be making avg amount of biodiesel, I'm converting my Dump trucks to SVO two tank system. At 5 mpg I just cant keep up with the big trucks, I have 4 of them. I have ordered the cone bottom tank 60 gallon and using a new 80 gallon waterheater.

I really just want to get the filtering at its best for clean SVO.

appleseed makes biodiesel. You'll need a heat tank to use SVO. Two different things. Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly either. Biodiesel uses methanal and lye to make a transfercation. Straigt Veggie Oil is filtering the crap out of Waste Veggie Oil and using a heat tank to warm it up so it'll flow through the fuel system.

 

Yes, ill be doing both.
Bio for my F250 & new VW TDI, Then SVO on my Big Rig Dump Trucks, And use the bio on the Dino side of the fuel tank, the big rigs have twin 50 gallon tanks, I use 40-60 gallon a day per truck, running an avg of 2 trucks all week.
Thats 400 gallons a week. saves me 1200.00 a week ........
