Is this normal? Well maybe for the 6.0 its normal, but hey i'm on my 2nd tank in this new to me F Too Fiddy 25K on the clock.

Just wondering if there is anything i can check or should check.

Installed the HC_ _ **** thingy and awaiting my 1st oil change.

Am I the only one with a DELL Computer that wreaks of Diesel??

If you gave us more information on how you came the conclusion of your milage findings we might be able to help you. Tire size, city, highway, hand calculated, fueling procedures, over head lie o-meter all play a part. Just how you fill your tank, you can be several miles off.

Most important part is the angle of your accelerator pedal to the floor(grin). It looks like you said the vehicle has 25K(25,000) miles on it and it and you are about to do the first oil change. I take it this is a new USED truck? With 25K on it maybe try Synthetic Oil since you are doing an oil change soon. Some say this helps. When was the last Fuel Filter change? Have you tried running any additives to improve the Cetane levels?

Also...Are you by any chance in TX? Every tank I get when I go through TX drops my mileage by 2mpg. Don't know why for sure, but I just filled up the other day when I got back to the base and mine is once again is down. I'm going to switch to Economy mode on my SCT to see if that helps.

There are Many...Many variables. Chances are if you are only on your second tank of fuel you probably haven't gotten used to the vehicle or it hasn't gotten used to you. Things may settle down after a few more tanks.

What's this HC_ _ **** thingy? Most likely it's because your Dell is somehow soaking up your fuel thus reducing your mileage(grin)!

One thing on the 6.0 . It is very touchy as to what quality fuel you are getting. I've read many articles that say (even from IH) that 45 cetane is the best for mileage. I personally am using a 51 cetane with 5% soy biodiesel and have all the power in the world and extremely clean exhaust.

Ok, Ok Ok Used from by Meticulous Boss-he had it since new...18 months.
Yep DFW fuel, no other change than drive same way each day to work

I did fill it up until i could almost see fuel in the neck.

Haven't got the SCT back from vinlocked so it's stock.

The HFCM thing on the frame rail, drained it today and installed new fancy one.
No additivies yet, been researching.

Run either Stanadyne Performance Formula(Same as FORD) or run Diesel Kleen Grey Bottle. Not much else to choose from so this should end your research on additives.

Dallas Diesel seems to be some of the worst I've used for mileage. I don't know why, but it isn't anything like at home(Louisiana).

Your SCT is VIN Locked?

Are you saying that you have an SCT or an SCMT. Being that you said it was VIN locked and you are asking whether or not to upgrade to the FlashPaq it sounds like you have a SCMT(SuperChips Micro Tuner) which is not the same as the SCT(Super Chips Tuner) they are different companies.

There is no performance differences in the SCMT 1705 and the FlashPaq. The FlashPaq is upgradeable online and will offer other options as they are released.
