Just got a T-18 to replace the T-98 in my 63 f100.

I needed it in order to use the bellhousing for a 390 (T-98 bolt-holes don't match up)

The tailshaft of the T-18 is considerably smaller than the T-98 tailshaft.

Is the problem a driveshaft one, a transmission mount one, or what?
Looks like you've made good progress, but what seems to be the difficulty?

I have a 63 F100 that I put a 57 292 in. Had to drill holes in the bellhousing to make the 63 trans from the 223 fit and install a floor shifter. I really do not like this 3 speed trans with no sycromesh in 1st and reverse. John pointed me in your direction. I live in the gaithersburg area as well. He said the trans you swapped out may fit in my truck. Not sure what T-98 and T-18 trans are. My truck is currently in paint jail getting body work and paint but I would be interested in getting a 4 speed or something to get this truck going. Currently the trans in there is very small and short and needs no mounts.
