Yes it is suitable for the stock intake. Basically making sort of a ram air intake. Basically the intake tube is blocked by the radiator support. So if you take the grill off the truck (screws on top, 4 clips on bottom) then right in front of the intake tube use about a 4" hole saw or something similar and cut a hole. I then used a dremmel tool to clean it up to make it look like it came from the factory like that. Hope this helps.

It is pretty noticeable at highway speeds. That is where this mod really shines. I don't have an aftermarket intake but I would think this would really work well with it.

I drilled my Zoodad hole slightly lower than the intake opening, hopefully it will help keep rain out of the air filter yet still allow an easier path for the air.

OK guys, the ZooDad mod pics and instructions are scattered throughout the 6.0 forum. This need to be consolidated and put into one single post.

I need someone to write up the complete instructions, with pictures if possible, and I will link it through the 6.0 Tech Folder.

Any takers?

Here is a link from an old post of some pics someone posted on the internet.

Linking to it in the tech folder would be good...

I'm gonna do this mod this weekend or sooner if work is slow. Has anyone put any sort of a screen or cap over the hole to keep bugs and critters out after they did this? I'm just thinking if it makes sense to do it or would it get sucked into the intake?

When I did mine, I bought a "Predator Air Fury" grill. Can't recall where I bought it from. The grill is pictured in the link below. I will try to find where I bought the grill by itself.
