Rear Panel Search

Housedad,

Did he have anymore info...I tore out every trim panel on that side... lots of numbers stamped in plastic or on "price tag" type stickers (neon green) and one 5 digit number written with magic marker...no luck.

Was it on a label? Was it on the panel or under/behind the panel?

Matt,

I sent you an e-mail requesting the code list (to keep my address of the forum).

Thanks,
Jud

PS if that does work, I'll look for the module behind the fuse box next.

No. That's all he said about it. I was hoping that it would work. He was very sure of it.

Thumbs up Matt's Codes worked

Thanks for the codes Matt.

I had the advantage of having seen the number before (the previous owner wrote it on a post-it that I lost before I got home), so I thought it had a 2 near the begining and an 8 in it. That eliminated a lot of the numbers. After Highlighting the possible numbers I started on page 1 and found it 1/3 of the way down page two. Spent 15 min last night, did half a page before it got dark. I finished today after work, another 10-15 minutes.

Woo-Hoo! I love when I don't have to give Ford anymore money for a truck I already own!

Keypad Code List?

Does anyone have the keypad code list that was being requested here. I am having the same problem finding the sticker. I have spent probably 3 hours looking. I am a new Excursion owner and am now just trying to fix all the annoying problems Any help would be awesome. My email is jmpinega@nuskin.com.

Am I now at the mercy of the dealer?

I just purchsed my X last week and the PO stated that he did not know the code. I found the card with the code in the owners manual, however, it did not work, so I figured it was from another X. I did find the 5 digit code (upside down) on the little black box on the firewall behind the radio, however, this code did not work either. I even tried to deactivate/activate with both codes. The car does lock when the 7/8 and 9/0 are pressed together, however, I cannot get the code to unlock. This is a 2002 limited X 4x4 7.3l PSD. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This board is great!!!

Update: I got a call from the dealer...seems they got a 6 digit error code when attempted to engage the KKC. They wanted $95/hr to diagnose, however, I am investing in a wiring diagram and some electrical diagnostic tools to attempt it myself

Matt,

I just sent an email to you directly instead of posting the request here. Since then I read a few posts back in the string that you do not send to direct requests. So here it is... Can you send the list to teuvojones@hotmail.com? Thanks alot.
