I just spent half the day trying to locate this info on my 2000 that I just bought. I can't find a box with numbers on it anywhere.

If you have the info please email it to me at jmms30024@yahoo.com

No! Do the hacking method which only takes 10 minutes.

I agree, it literally takes a tech 2 minutes to retrieve the code with a laptop so $50 is a ripoff

Is this the same on a 2006 F-250. Behind the radio?

Wink 2004 F-250 Keyless Keypad Code

So, the guy on the internet was willing to take $15.00, of my income, and the dealership is willing to take $100.00, or whatever? Well, I simply followed the directions of some really nice Ford owner, who had the same problem as many others, and did us a favor and posted some really specific directions to find this "code."

Which, BTW, I am now thinking, the dealership would have taken a good flashlight, pointed it up behind the dash, behind the radio, and read the same numbers I read (which were upside down, just where they were supposed to be), and then charged my an incredible amount of money? How dare they. You know, I should go out to the Ford dealership to see just how scrupulous they are, and ask them to find this for me, and see what they'd charge me. Then, suggest to them the process that they'd take and watch their faces go flush!!!!! That would be a fun afternoon.

And as noted, the guy who is selling the directions for this same process on the interent, when it is in a directive published by Ford Motor Company...it was asked, "isn't there some copyright infringement here?" Well, I'd guess YES, but hey, I am just guessing!

Thanks for the advice...oh, the code...up behind the radio, on a little black box, upside down, just like described. I had to move a wiring harness bundle out of the way, but I could see the letters...and I tried it and it works. I'll change the code tomorrow (maybe).

Finding the code for my 2004, F250, has been a great convenience to have! Being able to lock/unlock without the key came in really handy, while having a fractured ankle, and having to climb 19 steps to my apartment. Thank you again to all who provided answers and better solutions than spending $15.00, or $50-100.00, by relying on someone else for the solution. If I get the chance to buy lunch for those who provided the answer - I will. Just speak up. Randy <><

After buying my 'new' EX a week ago I found the 'original' card with the door code on it in the owners manual book. However, the code didn't work even though I could lock the doors by pushing the last two buttons.

Well, after reading through all 39 pages of posts on this subject, there were a couple people who suggested that sometimes these 'original' printed cards get mixed up at the dealership/garage. My dealer checked for me, and sure enough the card in the owners book was WRONG!

Thanks to whoever made that suggestion. I would have gone insane trying to figure this out! And, no, my dealer didn't charge me (but I've been a good customer for several years so maybe that paid off?).

Thanks to everyone for their good advice on this subject!

Hacking method works. Just did mine today. Helps to have someone read the codes for you. One of the threads has the code sheet.
