Just used the 3129 method and it freakin' worked! Took about 10 seconds. I probably just gave away my code, but I don't care! It works! Now how do I personlize my code so my wife can remember it? I thought I saw it earlier in this thread, but I don't want to go thru 26 pages again. Thanks to mark 42 for posting!!!

NO. The thermistor only controls the time the lock motors are activated to protect the motors.

Each time you enter a "trial" code and it doesn't work, you should press 4,5 to lock the doors and reset the computer. Then try your next code.

If you don't enter 45 the numbers may not enter into the computer correctly.

I found my codes 2 years or so ago. But note I didn't even try numbers like 12345, 11111, etc. I started in the middle of the code sheet and worked to the front page skipping all the numbers that were too easy.

Can someone please email me the code list for my 2003 X that I just bought. I looked through the fuse panel behind the radio to no avail. It's going to be too cold the next few days for me to hang out in the floorboard looking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ross

Codes please

I just got an 03 Excursion and am in love with it! I think I have let my husband drive it about 20 miles, although I let him fill up the tank. Could I please get the list of codes emailed to me? That is the only thing I need. Thanks.

Talking Keypad Code Found

On a pre-2002 you have one 20 minute option..
The De Bruijn sequence!! It's 3125 numbers that WILL unlock your door..
Once it's unlocked backtrack 5-10 numbers and start from there until you figure out
what 5 digits did it.. Not fun, but you can do it quicker then going to the dealer.

Here's the link to the number and info you need to do this!

This worked like a champ! Found the the master code within a few minutes...

This was driving me nuts because the previous owner's code was 3-3-3-3-3; which my son found one day just punching numbers. Of course, its now reset to something a bit more complicated . I was slowly going through the 8 pages of codes I found on another post, but this made it much easier.

Thanks for the post Mark 42!
