2002 7.3 Super Duty Fuel Pump Problems
NEED HELP. 2002 7.3 SUPER DUTY. PROBLEM IS I AM ON MY 3RD FUEL PUMP ALL WITH SAME PROBLEMS. WHEN FUEL GAUGE GETS TO 1/4 TANK , TRUCK LOSES POWER GOES DEAD. EVERY TIME IS THE SAME. AROUND 10 GALLONS IN TANK EVERY FAILURE.
I HAVE REPLACED FUEL PUMP 3 TIMES (UNDER WARRANTY). REPLACED FUEL FILTER 3 TIMES. REMOVED AND CLEANED TANK TWICE.
WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE? ANYONE WITH SAME PROBLEM OR KNOW OF OTHER SOLUTION. PLEASE HELP

Replaced filter, with new pump after dumping and cleaning tank.
Only conclusion I come to is, when it gets to a 1/4 tank it catching air. With a low pressure fuel pump, not having the weight of the fuel to help push it, it might be catching air causing the engine failure.
But I can not find any leaks.
